WHAT IS MENTAL HEALTH?

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.

TOLENTINO - INFOGRAPH

According to World Health Organization (WHO) mental health is  “… a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.” It is sometimes used to mean an absence of mental disorder. Mental health can affect our daily life, relationships, and even our  physical and emotional health.
